Privacy and where your data is
No Mailroom account or server; your mail stays on your Mac, encrypted.
- No Mailroom account, no Mailroom server. Your Mac connects straight to your mail, calendar and contacts servers, over encrypted connections.
- Encrypted on your Mac. The local copy of your mail, and your passwords and sign-ins, are encrypted with a key kept in your macOS Keychain.
- No analytics. Mailroom doesn’t collect usage data or crash reports.
- AI only when you click, and never with a model on your own Mac.
- Remote images blocked until you allow them (more).
Removing an account deletes its mail from your Mac; your mail on the server isn’t touched. The privacy policy has the details.
