This is Mailroom, a Mac mail app that works like Gmail, with any email account.

Mail from all your accounts lands in one inbox. Mailroom connects straight to your mail provider, so there’s no Mailroom account and no server in between.

New mail labels itself, so you can tell a newsletter, a sale or a cold pitch apart before you open it. Add your own labels too, like Travel, just by describing them.

Mail is grouped into conversations, like in Gmail, and older messages fold away, so you only read what’s new.

When a thread gets long, AI can sum it up in a few lines. You pick the model, and it can even run on your Mac.

It can draft a reply from just a few words, like a polite no to a cold pitch. Or translate an email into your language.

Everything works from the keyboard, with Gmail’s shortcuts. J and K move through your mail. E archives. And Z undoes it.

B snoozes a conversation until you need it, and then it comes back to the top of your inbox.

Search understands Gmail’s search words, like from: and after:, and it works offline.

Shift-T turns an email into a task, and your tasks sit above each day in your calendar, next to your meetings. Drag one to another day to plan your week.

Your chats are here too. iMessage from your Mac, and WhatsApp, Slack, LinkedIn and more through Beeper. AI can draft replies here as well.

Tracking pixels never load, every email opens in its own sandbox, and your mail is encrypted on your Mac.

Mailroom is free, with no account to make. Get it at getmailroom.dev.
