Mute a conversation, block a sender
Updated
Keep a busy thread out of your Inbox, or send someone’s mail straight to Junk.
Mute a conversation
A long reply-all thread you don’t need to follow: right-click the conversation and choose Mute, choose Message › Mute or Unmute, or press m. It’s archived, and new replies to it skip your Inbox: they go to Archive (or, without an Archive folder, stay in the Inbox marked read), with no notification. Undo right after takes it all back.
To follow it again, find the conversation (in Archive, or by searching) and choose Unmute from its menu, or press m again.
Block a sender
Open one of their messages, click the ⋮ button on it (or right-click it) and choose Block "their name"…. From then on, their new mail goes straight to Junk, in every account, with no notification. Their messages in that conversation move to Junk too, and Undo right after takes that back.
Settings › General › Blocked senders lists everyone you’ve blocked, with Unblock for each. You can’t block your own addresses.
Mailroom files new mail when it picks it up from your Inbox, so your phone may show it there until Mailroom has run. To block someone on every device, block them on your mail provider’s website too.
Still stuck? or email support@getmailroom.dev. A person reads every message.
